Approximately:
J53 - Monday, 2 July
Up at 6:50 am with an outside air at 54 °F. Isabelle's ankle seems to stay good, luckily, because there is a bit of walking today.
We leave at 8:12 for Biscuit Basin. At 8:27, a short stop on the side of Lower Geyser Basin to see the steam columns silhouetted against the dark forest; ditto near Grand Prismatic.
On northwest of Old Faithful, Biscuit Basin where we arrive at 8:45. Rusty Geyser, Black Opal Spring and others Sapphire Pool lie before us in all their morning
glory; back to the car at 9:18 after traveling 0.6 mile.

Then we go to Black Sand Basin at 9:27. Here are Cliff Geyser, Green Spring, Iron Spring Creek and others
that delight us until 9:57; only 0.2 mile on pedometer.

We park on a parking lot in Old Faithful at 10:04 with 72 ° F. Departure for the VC to see what are the planned eruptions and at what times. Back to the car to equip us for the hike (shoes, backpacks), the ankle is still OK. Back to Old Faithful to observe the first eruption of the day. Given the crowd already present, we prefer to install quickly, even to wait on site, and we do well, as the crowd continues to grow. Eruption at 11:27, not spectacular but interesting nonetheless. It's amazing to have such regularity and its name is not usurped.
Then, given the announced schedules and their range of uncertainty, we start to visit the site on the north side of the Firehole River (Giantess Geyser, Doublet Pool,...) and strolled
quietly according to our desires. In the distance, an outburst that must be Castle Geyser ut we are too far away to enjoy. Our next eruption is scheduled for Grand Geyser
but 2 hours prior, I already see a plume; sprint but in vain, I arrive too late and there was no question there Isabelle tries
with her ankle. Nature is not always easy to predict!

Passage at Grotto Geyser which belches, spits, blows but without beautiful outburst. We continue to Morning Glory Pool whose reputation is second to none.
The next eruption is Daisy Geyser and, when in doubt, we prefer to wait on the spot in full sun; it takes place on time .
We go back, passing Castle Geyser but nothing announced. We return to the "village" at 3:35 pm with 3.26 mile on pedometer; an good ice cream, a few postcards and food shopping,
refuel then we leave the site (too short visit) at 4:13 pm.

A stop at Kepler Cascades, then we cross the Continental Divide and a forced stop at Isa Lake, not necessarily the prettiest but what else could be expected
. This lake also has a special feature: a portion flows into the Pacific Ocean, the other in the Atlantic Ocean.
We arrive at West Thumb then we follow the Yellowstone Lake to Bridge Bay campground, reserved only place where we arrive at 5:30.
Transferring photos, writing postcards, fire and cocktail, dinner and sleep at 10:10.
